The Directorate for Insurance Companies and Actuaries of the Ministry of Finance approved, with its decision Ê3-151/1.3.2010, the change of the corporate name of INTERAMERICAN Road Assistance to INTERAMERICAN Assistance AEGA (General Insurances Société Anonyme).

In the meanwhile, INTERAMERICAN, for this year’s Easter holidays, is adopting measures enhancing the readiness of its fleet of vehicles and specialized personnel in the field of Assistance.  INTERAMERICAN’s services will be standing-by 24 hours a day during the out and in-bound travel days so as to respond immediately to any emergency. Both Personal Assistance (medical advice – first aid and road or air medevac – hotline 1010) and Road Assistance (hotline 1158) will be available to policy holders as well as to all travelers.

INTERAMERICAN’s Road Assistance has provided for a wide-spread positioning of its fleet and readiness of its stations along the country’s main road axes so as to be able to respond immediately to calls and activate the Autohelp system dealing in a quick and efficient undertake to any relevant action needed by its policy holders.

It should be stressed that Assistance is an integrated branch of INTERAMERICAN which encompasses also Direct Medical Assistance, and that INTERAMERICAN Assistance is licensed to support any type of vehicle (including heavy vehicles) according to the increased obligations – prerequisites of the new law 3651/2008.
